With reference to the State Government Notification no. 1106/79-V-1-10-1(Ka) 22-2010 dated 12th October, Shri Venkateshwara University, Gajraula ,J.P. Nagar, Uttar Pradesh has been established by an Act (No. 26 of 2010) of State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh as a State Private University and is empowered to award degrees as specified by the UGC under Section-22 of the UGC Act 1956.

It is a very renowned university located in the northern part of India.

UGC Recognised Universities don’t need approval from AICTE to run technical courses.

With reference to the public notice issued by AICTE vide AICTE/Adv/AB/Advt-Public Notice/2022-23 dated 09.02.2022, the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in case of Bharathidasan University & Another Vs AICTE & Others have interpreted the provisions of the AICTE Act and has held that university do not require prior approval of AICTE to commence a new department of course and programmes in technical education.

As per the Approval Process Handbook 2022-23 released by AICTE, clause 7.10 of Chapter-VII of norms and requirements specify that the courses offered in the timings of Regular Shift, First Shift, Second Shift and Part Time shall be considered as Regular Courses.

In Appendix 1 of AICTE Approval Process Handbook, Clause 1.0 for Norms for Duration, Entry Level Qualifications and Statutory Reservations of the Technical Programmes specified the mode as part-time for Engineering Programmes in Diploma, Post Diploma, Under Graduate Degree and Post Graduate Degrees.

Also in the clause 7.7 of Chapter VII, it is mentioned that Course(s) conducted in the timing of Part-Time are permitted with the rationale that the existing facilities of the same Course(s) offering in the timing of Regular/ First Shift shall be utilized.

In AICTE Approved Process Handbook, the definitions no. 43 implies “Part Time timing” means educational activities of the Technical Institution are conducted from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm on weekdays/weekends/holidays and are meant only for working professionals or professionals with at least two years of work experience.

Duration of the Course shall be a minimum of one/two Semester(s) in excess than the Courses conducted in Regular Shift timing.

Any technical courses completed either from UGC or AICTE approved institutions/Universities/Colleges provides an equal opportunity for a candidate to apply for jobs in reputed Government or Private Sectors/Firms.

As per the Approved Process Handbook (APH) released by AICTE, it specifies that in order to run a course in the part-time mode, the duration of the course shall be a minimum of one/two Semester(s) in excess than that of the duration of the Regular Course.

This programme is especially designed for working professionals (Polytechnic/Diploma holders) who wish to explore & advance their career options in the relevant field while working in an organisation.

Minimum of Two years Full Time work experience in a registered Firm/ Company/ Industry/ Educational and/ Government, Autonomous Organizations in the relevant field in which admission is sought.

Although the programme is applicable for working professionals with minimum work experience in the relevant field, Shri Venkateshwara University provides an opportunity for the students to opt for traditional courses which will utilise their past experience and aid in upgrading and enhancing endless possibilities in sub-courses/disciplines.

Classes are held in a hybrid mode, with a judicious mix of online classes along with classrooms at campus in the evening and on weekends & holidays.

Post completion of the live classes, recorded classes in video format are provided for access for an unlimited period of time at Learning Management System (LMS). Labs are conducted every Saturday at campus and can also be accessed through virtual & remote mode with simulations.

Upon successful completion of the programme, the students will be issued with mark-sheets and degree certificates from the university.

All semesters have Mid-semester Examinations and Comprehensive Examinations for each of the courses. These examinations are mostly scheduled over weekends.

During these semesters, in addition to the mid-semester and comprehensive examinations, there will also be quizzes/assignments conducted online as per the course plan student’s participation is mandatory. In the last semester, students will be doing a full-semester Project Work as per the university guidelines.

As classes are conducted in a hybrid mode, students can interact and seek guidance from faculty members for topic discussion, doubts clearing through voice and chat.

Apart from that, students can post and clear their doubts through the Q/A section on the LMS. Interactions can also be accessible through e-learning portal with the help of support team.

Experiments are provided using various experiential learning components such as Virtual Labs, Remote Labs and Simulations using leading industry-recognised software tools, Programming languages and Simulation software to provide actual on-campus experience.

Expert faculty members will explain the working principles of the experiments by using the latest industry tools and methods.

As this programme is solely depicted for working professionals, students are not required to visit the university campus frequently.

However, for projects, practical, assignments, etc., students may have to visit the university campus whenever required as per the guidelines of the University.
